About us
Lano was started by Tony and Francy Simo, a couple living in New Jersey. Our children span every stage of school, from primary to university, and we have also lived in France, the UK, Australia and Canada.
Why we built it
We have used tutors based in Nigeria for our own children, and we were very happy with them. That is where Lano started.
We built Lano so that other families can do the same with confidence: with tutors whose identity has been checked, lessons you can see, and someone to turn to if something is not right.
Every tutor on Lano is reviewed and approved by us personally before they can teach, and their identity documents are checked first.
